BECOME THE FUTURE OF MINING

THE Glencore Student Sponsorship Program aims to offer a one-of-a-kind exposure to the mining industry through participation in THE Mining Investment Event (THE Event), Canada’s only Tier 1 global mining investment conference, held from June 3-5, 2025, in Quebec City. This annual event serves as a nexus for industry leaders and investors, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and immersive learning. The Program is now recognized as one of the largest fully funded conference programs in Canada.

Up to 50 university or college students with a passion for geology, finance, engineering, or related fields will have the chance to attend the conference at no cost. Our goal is to foster experiential learning by exposing students to keynote speakers, industry panels, professional meet-and-greets, a case study competition, and various networking events. Through these avenues, we hope to instill a sense of global interconnectedness within the Canadian mining industry while investing in the development of the next generation of talented individuals.

THE Glencore Student sponsorship Program provides the following:

Transportation: Bus or other shuttle transportation from the Central Station Berri-UQUAM to/from Montreal to the Delta Hotel by Marriott in Quebec City, with pick-up on Monday, June 2, and return on Thursday, June 5.

Accommodation: Single accommodation at the Delta Hotel by Marriot in Quebec City, checking in on June 2 and checking out on June 5.

Special Student Dinner: A unique opportunity for students to connect with sponsors at the a dedicated room in the Quebec Convention Center, allowing for meaningful interactions, questions, and, if desired, short company presentations tailored to student awareness.

Meals:  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet meals at the conference venue.

Access:  Full access to conference presentations, panels, and networking events through active audience participation.

Application Deadline:  Friday, May 9, 2025.

Networking Opportunity:  Students will have the chance to post their resumes and a presenting company case study in our newly designed Opportunities Bank where participants of THE Event will have access to review resumes and post job opportunities.
